- Mazda has released teaser photos of an all-new CX-5 for 2026
- They show an evolution but not a radical makeover.
Mazda will release an all-new version of its best-selling CX-5 SUV for the 2026 model year. The company tried to whet fans’ appetites with a set of early teaser photos today.
If nothing else, they prove that Mazda is consistent. While most rivals have bought into angular, rugged SUVs with recent design updates, the CX-5 will stay curvy and sharp.
Mazda promises “a confidence-inspiring drive, engaging design, and functionality to match.”
A persistent industry rumor says the CX-5 will get a hybrid edition for the first time.
Unusually, Mazda will sell two similarly priced entries in the compact SUV class for 2026. The more rugged CX-50 isn’t going anywhere.
We’ll know more soon. Mazda promises a full reveal on July 10.
