Recall Alert: Dodge Challenger, Charger

The 2023 Dodge Charger and Challenger Scat Pack Swinger editions

Dodge has issued recalls for 2,852 Challenger coupes and 898 Charger sedans, all from model year 2023, because their left rear seatbacks can fail to lock into position.

Dodge tells federal safety officials that factory workers may have misaligned the striker plate the seatbacks lock into, leaving them unable to attach properly. That can make them unsafe for use as seats, or let things in the trunk enter the passenger cabin in an accident.

The fix is simple. Dealership technicians will inspect the cars to see if the seatbacks lock into place and adjust the striker to the right position if necessary.
